When life's bustling activities become more than you
can bear, it is important to find a place for relaxation and recreation. There is such a place. It is called HomePlace.
Located eight miles west of Pageland fourteen miles east of Lancaster, HomePlace is nestled in a country setting, surrounded
by several acres of pasture, woods, ponds, and gardens.
The original home itself was built of rough hewn logs which
came from Heart Forest pine trees before 1900. The Catoe's bought HomePlace in 1920, and it became the home and farm for
a family of fifteen. In the 70's and 80's, five bedrooms and five private baths were added to the upstairs. The land is
still farmed and a successful family owned business is operated at HomePlace.
Inside you will find a delicate balance
of past and present. Photos, oversized tubs, books, personal effects, antique furnishings, and hand-embroidered linens are
just a few things that will make your stay at HomePlace delightful and interesting.
